Patricia Saunders, PA-C

Tricia Saunders is a Certified Physician Assistant and has been working with Dr. Kreiner at Ahwatukee Sports and Spine since 2005. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Midwestern University and has been practicing in Arizona since 2002. Tricia is trained to diagnose athletic injuries as well as degenerative joint and spine conditions. She can prescribe medications and physical therapy necessary for injury rehabilitation, interpret lab results, and read CT scans, x-rays, and MRIs of the musculoskeletal system. She performs trigger point, peripheral joint, soft tissue, and visco-supplementation injections. She often assists Dr. Kreiner when he performs Fluoroscopically-Guided Interventional Spine Injections, and Discography, IDET, Radiofrequency Ablation, Vertebroplasty, and Spinal Cord Stimulator Trial procedures.

Tricia is a former national team athlete and coach with a longstanding interest in musculoskeletal medicine and rehabilitation. She was an 11-time US National Champion and 4-time World Champion in Women's Freestyle Wrestling. She has coached American Teams in the Olympics, Pan American Games, and World Championship competitions. She was inducted into both the National and International Wrestling Halls of Fame, and currently serves on the USA Wrestling Board of Directors. She is married to Olympic Medalist, Townsend Saunders, who was also a US Olympic and World Championship Team Coach. Tricia is a long time Ahwatukee resident, and has three children.
