Mary Strike, PT

Born in Northampton, England Mary Strike graduated from The London Hospital School of Physical therapy in 1979. Before moving to the United States she was worked in Andover Hospital Back Clinic as part of a team including an osteopath and a clinical psychologist. Mary also developed a new clinic as the sole physical therapist for the British Army Air Corps treating a wide variety of sports injuries.

Mary Strike has worked at Ahwatukee Sports and Spine for 8 years specializing in the treatment of all musculoskeletal conditions. Skilled in all areas of spinal, orthopedic and sport related injuries, Mary has many tools in her physical therapy tool box: mobilization techniques of the spine and peripheral joints, myofascial release, a wide variety of exercise methods including the Institute of Physical Arts, Athletes Performance, Pilates, Muscle Imbalance and Functional Re-education. She is skilled in the treatment of post- operative spinal surgery, post- surgical joint replacement, and orthopedic surgery. One of her key strength’s is pain management.

Mary enjoys regularly attending continued education courses to keep her skills current. She is presently working towards her Certification of Manual Therapy (COMT) and is an active member of the American Association of Physical Therapy and its Orthopedic and Sports Injuries section. Mary enjoys teaching student physical therapists and physical therapy assistants.

Mary became a United States Citizen last year and enjoys time with her family and two dogs. She lovess to travel, exploring the United States, hiking, working out, going to movies and cooking.
